Indiefy.com coming 2006

Indiefy.com is a new online venue for independent artists to sell their music online or provide it as a free download.

Unlike iTunes, artists will receive the majority of the profit when they sell a song or album. All music will be available in high quality 192khz MP3 format. Indiefy will allow unlimited CD burning for personal use and once a song has been purchased, it will always be available for download in your “Music Locker”.

Hey. will indiefy come online? Ever? This is a great idea. I wonder … why aren’t there any comments on this blog post?

I had a … sort of an idea for that certain page you’re showing in the pic above. It’s an artist’s personal page, right? Maybe, if you want to talk about it, you could drop me a mail.

    Goog luck.

Nice idea. I have one that is very similar. I am not working on it yet so get after it and hopefully I won’t have to. If I see this page like this for too long I just might have to start.

“Goog luck” from me as well.

    Also, I prefer Ogg.

I was wondering if you might want to collaborate… You may like my work, although it’s in coldfusion and flex…

C’mon. Get on with it. Good ideas shouldn’t go stale in the closet.

    Hi there!

I just found this post and it seems like you guys had the same vision as us… since your site’s still not up, I’m assuming you got pulled away onto another project.

If you’re still interested in the concept, we’ve made a site that lets independent musicians sell their content directly to artists and keep the majority of the profits (sound familiar?) :)

We’re the same people who made LyricWiki.org, so we’ve used that to get it a solid userbase to start with.

Check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions, comments, etc.:

    Thanks!
