About Chapeau Blog Awards:
Chapeau Blog Awards is an awards contest that tips its chapeaus to honor bloggers worldwide who devote their time and knowledge to inform, entertain and challenge their readers. Those involved in the Chapeau Blog Awards are not involved in the final selection of winners. Rather than assembling an antiquated academy of high profile ‘Noggers’ – Non-bloggers – to determine which blog is best, Chapeau Blog Awards does what bloggers do. They ask for the opinion of the public sphere of blog readers. By asking blog readers to judge the Chapeau Blog Awards, entrants can be assured of a meaningful award as selected by their most important audience; blog readers themselves. Question by Woman Who Art Loosed!: Is a photo of a boil on the torso uploaded to a private blog “mature content” if it shows NO private parts?
My blog is private; friends can’t even see it unless I add them to a special category. I have been posting things about my health. (And with the exception of 1 added 3 weeks ago who has experienced some of what I have experienced, all of my Friends are family and actual friends not met online who have nothing to do with Yahoo!)
This week I posted photos of an INFECTED ABDOMINAL INCISION that has developed into an ABSCESS on said blog. These photos show no private parts above and NO private parts below.
Again, this blog is not even public. None of my Friends is under the age of 18.
Why was it deemed adult-oriented content? Why was it deemed a violation of TOS? Is my torso “nudity”? Are low-rise pants coupled with crop tops “nudity”? If I cropped the photo down to show the abscess only, would that change things?
If I didn’t expose nudity but I got flagged for a violation, how can I avoid this in the future?
Thanks for your response.

Question by festivus64: What do have to do to “blog” in an adult site? What does this mean?
I googled my husband’s email username and 3 pages of adult sex-sites came up. When I confronted him about it, he was very disappointed that I was “googling” him, like it meant I don’t trust him. He admitted to perusing a couple of these sites 2 years ago(before we met) but not now. But he swore he wasn’t doing it now and doesn’t understand why his username is coming up under all these blogs that lead to adult sex-sites. I have googled his name before and these never popped up until now. Can someone explain exactly what a blog is? What do you think he’s up to?
Best answer:
Answer by channeleee
A blog can be compared to a journal, or internet newspaper. You can provide any type of content you want so it depends on the creator.
It really depends how his email appears on the page and what the context or surrounding text is, to determine why it’s coming up.

Bloggeries.com, a fast growing site that provides information, ratings, links, resources, and top rated blogs, is thrilled to announce the start of blog reviews, an innovative and extremely valuable service for blog owners. Can your blog pass the test?
Bloggeries.com takes blog reviews seriously. A professional staff of knowledgeable reviewers spends countless hours reading and scrutinizing blogs from around the world. Selected blogs are reviewed on the merits of their content, uniqueness, activity, appearance, and navigation.
Blogs that are lucky enough to be selected for review enjoy increased traffic thanks to the visitors that faithfully visit Bloggeries.com each day to read and post comments about the latest blog reviews. Blog owners also receive helpful information about how to improve their blog and make it more successful from the reviews, as well as from comments (known as bloggeries) posted by other bloggers following the review. Reviewed blogs also benefit by receiving permanent high ranking back links which are very helpful for the blogâs search engine efforts.
Bloggeries.com first appeared online in December 2005. The name Bloggeries was conceived when bloggers began referring to the posts that were made as âbloggeries.â It started out as a directory for blogs and received such a positive reception that it has steadily grown into a leading destination for internet bloggers. Bloggeries.com is both a directory for blogs and a blog itself. All blog owners are welcome to submit their blog to the blog directory for consideration, but blog owners beware because blogs accepted to the directory become potential subjects of a future review. Can your blog handle the heat?
Visitors to Bloggeries.comâs blog reviews can see the most recent blog reviews, discover how it rated, read the reviewers comments, read other visitors âbloggeriesâ and post âbloggeriesâ of their own. Visit www.bloggeries.com to submit your blog to the directory, or visit www.bloggeries.com/blog to submit your blog for review.
