Westwood, NJ (PRWEB) August 7, 2006

The upcoming Fest For Beatles Fans in Chicago (August 11-13) will see the formal launch of Blog, Blog Me Do a new blog devoted to all things Beatles. Reporting on current Beatles news and events as well as presenting historical retrospectives on the career of The Fab Four, Blog, Blog Me Do is destined to become the essential web destination for Beatles fans. In fact it has already been named as “The Top Beatles Blog on The Net” by the London TIMES Newspaper.

Even during its testing and development phase Blog, Blog Me Do received a steady growth in visitors and positive feedback such as this early review:

” Blog, Blog Me Do is a new Beatles blog. Who knew there was still enough fresh information & news about the Beatles to post several times daily? But this blog has a lot of cool obscure stuff on there; memorabilia, news, concert chronology, etc.”

To celebrate the launch the site owners are sponsoring a competition open to readers of the blog and attendees at the Chicago Fest. A competition keyword has been posted on the site and visitors can either e-mail the keyword to the address given or, if they are attending the Chicago event can approach a member of the Blog, Blog Me Do staff to have their name entered into the draw for a selection of Beatles and “Blog, Blog Me Do” themed items.

Blog, Blog Me Do is written by Alan J. Porter, author of the critically acclaimed study of the band’s formative years, BEFORE THEY WERE BEATLES: The Early Years 1956-1960, and is designed and produced by Pilkington Design, one of the UK’s leading Web design companies.

Question by pumpkin: Why is blogging such a “big deal” and do you recommend it?
It sounds to me like playing with fire and hoping not to get burned. I don’t see the point of it ,so help me understand the big tadoo over it if you can. Or give me some advice to be aware of about “blogging” and some of the down side to it. Thanks.

Answer by CylonLover
The upside is you get stuff off your chest that either bothers you or makes you feel good without paying some bozo 100 bucks an hour. The downside is the jerks in this world who pick apart everything for a laugh, thrill, etc…

Blog, but don’t give too much personal information.

Cupertino, CA (PRWEB) December 16, 2008

A new book released by publisher Happy About is a “how to use Twitter” guide for businesses. “Twitter Means Business: How Microblogging can Help or Hurt your Company” taps the wisdom of Twitter expert and leading technology journalist Julio Ojeda-Zapata (@jojeda on Twitter).

See how Twitter — the fastest-growing social network, according to Nielsen Online — is used by corporations like Comcast, Dell and JetBlue. This book profiles dozens of businesses of all sizes on Twitter. These are tracking what is said about their brands in the “twitterverse,” and are interacting with customers in Twitter’s conversational style.

Find out how businesses are using Twitter in innovative ways — such as responding to complaints, nurturing online relationships, posting hot deals and recruiting evangelists — with “tweets” that are just 140 characters or less.

Twitter has become a place to burnish a corporation’s reputation, drum up new business, get ideas from customers and find those who wield influence online. “Twitter Means Business” documents these trends, and more.

Public-relations agencies are also on Twitter, showing their business clients how to use the service. “Twitter Means Business” devotes a chapter to such P.R. agencies, ranging from giants to tiny P.R. shops.

Learn how businesses that don’t understand the Twitter culture can be blindsided. “Twitter Means Business” shows how ignoring Twitter can hurt a company. “Twitter means Business” has tips, tricks and tools so businesses will understand Twitter and use it effectively. The book examines rival microblogging services used by companies, too.

What do Twitter veterans think about this? One “Twitter Means Business” chapter consists entirely of tweets by experienced Twitter users who give their thoughts on the service’s business uses. Julio writes about his own experiences using Twitter at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and shows how the newspaper is another useful case study for businesses needing to grasp and exploit Twitter.

Julio also identifies Twitter thought leaders, like social-media authorities Laura Fitton of Pistachio Consulting (@pistachio) and Chris Brogan of chrisbrogan.com (@chrisbrogan). These have praised “Twitter Means Business.”

Brogan says, “Julio’s book on Twitter is the first business-minded book about the topic that I feel comfortable recommending to companies wondering why they should consider the tool for their organization. I’ve found a resource that I will share effusively.” “Twitter Means Business” is a unique blend of professional reportage and social-media insight. It is the one book to buy for anyone needing to master Twitter.

A new ground breaking version of the SPAMfighter Exchange Module (SEM) has just been released. This new version is filled with features making it easier for system administrators and business travelers and consultants worldwide.    SEM is a “zero maintenance” program which integrates seamlessly into exchange modules.

When an e-mail arrives to a designated SEM user, it is scanned for spam. If the e-mail is determined to be spam it will either be moved to a SPAMfighter folder or deleted. SEM contains 5 various filters, including a language filter and optionally a virus filter. SEM is easy to use, and requires very little upkeep. Everything is done on a server, which means only one installation, one version, and only one administrator. Furthermore, SEM updates automatically requiring zero maintenance. More can be read about the anti-spam program, SEM here.

“Our goal was to make a program for business users which requires very little upkeep, and allows users to feel the effects of SPAMfighter no matter where they are in the world, or what machine they are using. We have achieved this with our latest update” confirmed Martin Thorborg, co-owner and co-founder of SPAMfighter ApS. Read more about the anti-spam company, SPAMfighter here.

Perhaps the most impressive update of the SEM is the new Outlook Web Access (OWA) toolbar. This toolbar is available in OWA, which allows users to check e-mail from anywhere in the world, and still have all the features of SPAMfighter. This feature is ideal for business consultants who travel from office to office, or business travelers who travel worldwide, checking their e-mail from various locations and machines. With the OWA toolbar, users such as these have the ability to filter, and block spam no matter where they are in the world.

One concern SEM users expressed, was the fact that spam was sent to a SPAMfighter folder in each users mailbox, or deleted before ever hitting the server. With SEM v. 3.2.0 administrators now have the option of having spam filtered to a central SPAMfighter folder, which only they, the administrator can access. With a centralized SPAMfighter folder, spam is never seen by e-mail users, and therefore does not distract these users, or take away from valuable work time.

Updates have also been made to the SEM toolbar for Outlook and the core engine. In addition to adding a toolbar to OWA, the SEM toolbar for Outlook will also have some additions. The SEM toolbar now has support for “Cached mode.” Furthermore, the SEM toolbar has been expanded to support the language filter. The language filter filters e-mails in other languages that users do not understand. The core engine has also been improved to filter more effectively. Spam e-mails such as those which are image based, and animated gif e-mails can now be filtered more efficiently by the SEM core engine.

SEM version 3.2.0 is now available in English, German, Dutch, and Danish. SEM will also be available in Spanish later this year. SEM version 3.2.0 now supports POP3 and other client protocols. SEM users will have the option to choose when they will be using another protocol so spam mail will be scanned before arriving in the inbox.

More information regarding the leading anti-spam program, SPAMfighter Exchange Module updates can be found here.

SPAMfighter is Europe’s leading spam filter developer. The Danish company is owned by the founders of Jubii.dk, Henrik Sørensen and Martin Thorborg, together with two programmers, Daniel Hjortholt and Martin Dyring. SPAMfighter employs 20 people and is based in Copenhagen. SPAMfighter is debt-free and is 100 per cent financed by income from the sale of the SPAMfighter client. Each day, SPAMfighter removes around 4 million spam messages from 5 million tested emails received by one million users in 209 countries/regions.

SPAMfighter draws its power from the fact that 1.5 million users report spam as they receive it, with a single click. Once several users have reported the same spam message, it is automatically filtered for all other users. The result is that 95 percent of all spam is filtered out before it reaches any given user.

Use a linked list of pointers to child nodes found but not visited. It simulates recursion without using all the stack space recursion does.

Question by Rob P: Starting a small freelance web design “company”?
I want to start doing some freelance web design for things like video game clans, small organizations, maybe even small businesses. I really need some advice on what to charge for what services, possibly having partners who can code things that I am not proficient in (e-shops, databases, etc), and pretty much all other aspects of the idea. I dont plan on charging like hundreds of dollars. Maybe just like $ 50 dollars for a basic website for a group of gamers on World of Warcraft or Halo 3. I am only 15 and I dont know a LOT of code languages and such, but I’m sure I can whip up a decent little site for a paintball team or something.

I also need to know if I should get their domain for them or if I should just set up the site and give them the ftp domain or however that works (someone could help me figure that out too). How do I host their site?

Oh and how should I accept payment? Should I use paypal or something else? I don’t have my paypal set up yet and I would prefer not to have to validate it (it’s kind of hard to get a bank account at 15).

Thanks and any help is appreciated.

Best answer:

Answer by monie089
You could get a savings account at a bank then link it to paypal and you could buy the domains and for hosting, try getting a reseller account or just a shared account and add the domains.

Will SEO still exist in five years?{yahooanswerstitle}

Posted by admin On September - 24 - 2010

On February 26, 2009, Google software engineer Matt Cutts collected questions on Google Moderator and answered many of them on video. Kevin from Marseille, France asked: Will SEO still exist in 5 years?

Cheshire, England (PRWEB) January 7, 2009

TopSEOs, the independent authority on search vendors, has ranked SEO Consult, the UK’s leading Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) company, as the number one SEO company in the UK for the second month running.

In the ongoing study by TopSEOs, 300 UK-based SEO agencies are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: 1) client retention rate, 2) average response time/time-to-resolution for client problems, 3) average Return on Investment (ROI) for SEO clients, 4) the speed in which first page SEO listings are achieved and 5) how competitive the company’s prices are compared to the industry average. TopSEOs actively obtain feedback from at least three clients of the agencies to verify and vouch for services performed.

“This is the second month in a row that we’ve received this award and it confirms our leadership position in the SEO industry,” Matt Bullas, Managing Director of SEO Consult, comments. “Although every employee at SEO Consult is proud to work for the best SEO company in the UK, we are not satisfied. Indeed, we are restless. In order to achieve many more number one rankings for our company, we must build on our success, not rest on it.”

A short explanation in English: São Paulo is not only the biggest city in Latin America but is also packed with people all over: The traffic is so regular that no citizen can catch a break during daytime, not even on Sundays. This “Ghost Town” scenario is a unique view from the city, during Brazil’s final match on the World Cup, where everyone’s eyes got stuck on the TV broadcast. Our experiment was simply to take motorbike ride over some famous (and crowded) city spots with an onboard camera during the event. As most people couldn’t afford to miss the game we decided to show what was (not) happening in the outside world at that particular moment. If you think it will be only possible to register these scenes in 4 years, remember that next World Cup is going to happen in Brazil…so maybe not.
