A free service at RSS2HTML.com has been launched. RSS2HTML.com displays RSS feeds as web pages. In three short steps site visitors can convert their RSS feed, into a viewable web page. They simply select the webpage template, the color scheme and then enter the URL of the RSS feed. The RSS2HTML.com site then generates a new URL based on the user’s choices. Once entered into a web browser the generated URL will display the RSS feed as a regular webpage.
Webmasters can use the service to create a static web page that will display RSS feeds containing text, images and even an audio podcasts or video. The service on RSS2HTML.com displays any RSS feeds that adheres to most RSS specifications, including versions 2.0, 1.0, 0.93, 0.92, 0.91 or 0.90.
Because RSS is based in XML, it normally cannot easily be viewed in a web browser. The free service on RSS2html.com has been made available to publishers and webmasters who are unable to host the free FeedForAll rss2html.php script that NotePage has recently released. Question by yulianto w: WHAT IS “RSS” ??Then tell me how it works and how and where I can use it?
Best answer:
Answer by Storm Sams
RSS is a “dialect ” of XML and must conform to the XML 1.0 rss specification, as published on the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) website. “RSS” most commonly stands for “Really Simple Syndication” RSS is most commonly used to easily syndicate web logs (blogs), podcasts, news, and now topical forums.
You can use an “aggregator” to read rss feeds or you can use your browser (i.e., IE7, Firefox 1.5+). Google, Yahoo, and other companies have online aggregators also. To use on your website, just create an xml document following the RSS specification and link it on your page (or you can transform it, which is out of the scope of my answer).
An example of an RSS file is here:

Harold’s on TWITTER! www.twitter.com There are details of Harold’s life we’d rather not know…he’s only too happy to share on Twitter. oh, I’m on Twitter, too…but whatever. www.twitter.com
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 6, 2009
TwitRep.ly, founded in early September 2009 by two software engineers, supplements the Twitter service by adding comments and the opportunity for lively discussion on Twitter.
The web site works by allowing users to sign in using their Twitter username and then posting Topics (or Tweets). The Tweet is automatically posted to their Twitter page with a short URL linking back to their topic so a discussion can take place.
The founders, both active users on Twitter, disliked not being able to have a conversation on a specific topic with several Twitter users. Similar to Facebook’s “comment” feature under a status update, TwitRep.ly provides this desired feature to enhance the value of Twitter status updates. Twitter enthusiasts who have long wished for an alternative to the @reply, or prefer a public commenting area, will find the newly launched site to be a must-have Twitter service.
The developers said they have many new features up their sleeves, including private notifications, posting settings, and account features. Currently built-in to the system is the ability to monitor replies and responses to topics, automatically post new topics and replies to the user’s Twitter page with their own URL for discussions, and a log that displays all comments on the site.
“We’re working on the site night and day based on the feedback we’ve been receiving. We’ve had a great response so far and we’re happy fellow Twitter users find the service useful,” one of the founders stated, “We’re just happy to supplement an already great site and idea.”

Question by ∞Aυгσгα∞: Is the internet “rotting our brains” like people used to say TV did?
Remember how your mom used to say “Don’t watch too much TV, you’ll rot your brain”?
Today many people spend hours at their computer every day. Is all the surfing, chatting, posting & blogging “rotting our brains” now?
What do you think?
Yes, I should say–computer use for “entertainment”. Thanx!
Best answer:
Answer by Lomoco
It depends on what you use it for. It’s not just the internet, but computers in general. If you spend all your time gaming, then yes you might feel a little “wet in the head”. But using computers for other purposes such as research, design, or helping other people, then no, it actually does the opposite.

SPAMfighter, well-known for protecting millions of computers worldwide from unwanted spam is now filtering spam, and fighting viruses for thousands of firms all over the world with the SPAMfighter Exchange Module (SEM). The SPAMfighter Exchange Module offers businesses an effective spam filter, as well as an anti-virus program for all users on their Microsoft Exchange.
SEM has recently been updated to filter out the newest forms of spam mails. Recent trends show that spammers are investing more and more in the technological side of spam mails. They are creating spam mails which will push past the spam filters, and into users inboxes. However, SPAMfighter has also focused on these new trends, and has worked day and night to keep up with the spammers making sure to ensure SEM users the highest filter rate.
“Our goal with SEM was to make an easy solution for businesses to protect their exchange servers against spam and viruses without requiring a lot of work from each employee. We have accomplished this, and are happy to see that more and more businesses are enjoying the benefits of this newly improved programme,” says Martin Thorborg, co-founder and co-owner of SPAMfighter.
One example of this is a Danish company with over 1300 users who have been successfully using SEM. By having SEM, this particular company has saved over 23 days of work. This number is based on the estimate that each spam mail takes 15 seconds to receive and delete and as over 51% of the emails most businesses receive are now Spam this represents a crucial significant time and cost saving.

SEM is beneficial to companies such as this because it is a low maintenance spam filter, and can be installed from one central location. The ability to administrate SEM from a central location is one feature which makes using SEM easier for businesses than many other spam filters. Find out more about SEM here.
While SEM has centralized administration, users also have control of their mailboxes with a toolbar in Outlook. This allows users to block any spam mail which may slip through the SEM filter, and thereby report it immediately to the SPAMfighter server. SEM is also in effect, and able to be used when employees are traveling with the unique Outlook Web Access toolbar. This allows users to block any spam mails which were missed by the SEM filter, as well as unblock any e-mails which were filtered incorrectly.
More and more businesses worldwide are taking advantage of the benefits of having SPAMfighter Exchange Module. The user friendly, low maintenance, anti-spam and anti-virus program is helping to protect businesses at an international level.
*Notes to editors*
SPAMfighter is Europe’s leading spam filter developer. The Danish company is owned by the founders of Jubii.dk, Henrik Sørensen and Martin Thorborg, together with two programmers, Daniel Hjortholt and Martin Dyring. SPAMfighter employs 25 people and is based in Copenhagen.
SPAMfighter is debt-free and is 100 per cent financed by income from the sale of the SPAMfighter client. Each day, SPAMfighter removes around 11 million spam messages from 16 million tested emails received by one million users in 210 countries/regions.
SPAMfighter draws its power from the fact that over 2.5 million users report spam as they receive it, with a single click. Once several users have reported the same spam message, it is automatically filtered for all other users. The result is that 90 percent of all spam is filtered
out before it reaches any given user. Get more information about SPAMfighter here.

While RSS usage is growing rapidly, most marketers still do not fully understand the full scope of the business opportunities it offers, ranging from end-user content delivery to improved search engine rankings and generating traffic from new traffic sources.
As opposed to most internet tools, RSS has the potential to power most of the internet marketing mix and can be used for a great variety of marketing purposes.
To demonstrate to marketers and companies exactly how RSS can help them improve their business results, the MarketingStudies.net brand just published a free report titled The Business Case for RSS.
We published The Business Case for RSS report to help marketers understand that RSS is not only a tool to get their content delivered to end-users, but a tool they can use to power most of their internet marketing activities,« said Rok Hrastnik, the author of the report.
We were really surprised to see the conclusions of one of the recent Jupiter Research reports on RSS, which clearly showed that marketers have a fundamentally flawed impression of RSS. In a way, this report serves as a counter initiative to clearly showcase what can be done with RSS.«
One of such miss-conceptions is the belief that RSS cannot be used for direct marketing, due to the lack of appropriate metrics, personalization and targeting. However, RSS does offer all of these features and many others needed by direct marketers.
There are many other examples on how RSS can be used in the report itself, with an emphasis on new content delivery and marketing opportunities that were not available prior to RSS. Podcasting, videocasting and appcasting are just a few of these.
Marketers, managers and reporters are urged to download the free report to expand their understanding of RSS and discover new internet marketing opportunities and possibilities.
The report can be obtained for free from this website: http://www.marketingstudies.net/rssbusinesscase/
