RSS is supposed to alert your friends’ podcast program every time you add a new episode. But I think that for Myspace, you have to make a blog post, and then it alerts everyone who has subscribed to your blog. It looks like they don’t have a subscription button for the podcast itself.

If your episodes are short, you can create a band site (even if you are not a band) and then it gives you a few more options.

So once you create and upload your RSS feed… can you enter the updates using the same program?

Thanks for making this tutorial. This clears things up a bit about how to make an RSS feed. The promo for TechCast Corner is still being approved by Apple; however, there is a chance that it may be taken down, so that artwork can be added to the podcast.

The easiest way to create an RSS feed is to use software. A podcast is simply an RSS feed that contains an audio file in the enclosure field. The software I would recommend is FeedForAll (there is a Windows and a Mac version). The following will walk you through the process of creating a podcast using the software – http://www.feedforall.com/podcasting-tutorial.htm (there is also a built in wizard).

You can download an evaluation version from http://www.feedforall.com

    Best of luck!
