In this video, I talk about a new premiere web hosting company called Squarespace.com. I learned about this site when I appeared on This Week In Tech (TWiT), and I decided to check it out. Squarespace takes a different approach on the typical control panel and gives you a WYSIWYG interface which is basically drag and drop and clickable. Squarespace doesn’t require you to know HTML or CSS. If you are interested in trying it, there is a 14-day free trial. There are many different plans/pricing so check it out at squarespace.com (Use the code twit for 10% off).

Question by Jordan Pickell: Looking for a “Web host”, preferably free ?
Know of any decent web hosts out there ? I am in need of one due to my web design course. Our final project requires use to create a web page that is at least 3 pages in length.
It doesn’t have to be extremely fancy, however I need something that will not show too much garbage (ie : ads and so on)
Thanks
Thanks they seem “legit”…I shall look into them

Oh I forgot to say! If you already have a website design you want it can easily be installed to the Concrete 5. so you can have it as custom as you like. Basically this is a CMS (Control Management System) There are lots of other ones aswell but concrete 5 is the closest one I can think of close to the one he is talking about. I would say its the same but your being charged madly. Also others to check out is Joomla , Drupal and lots of others ones just for what ever you like
Finally! Cloud hosting is a network of Servers so instead of you requesting from 1 server you are connecting to 3-4 servers connected togeather to make it powerful. That does mean its cant be attacked. With enough resourced it can be taken down. What you really need to a host with the correct firewalls and DDoS protection in place. Anyways that is my Two sents Enjoy everyone!
I would also like you to note that cPanel is the most powerful professional web hosting control panel. This is a very complicated control panel and is easy to use.not done the correct research. If you did you would learn that you can get everything you want and for 3.95 with shineshost .comJust order and send a submit folder and they will install it on your hosting. If you do it your self on your hosting you can have Emails, web forms, etc and you DONT NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WEB DEVELOPMENT
Dude I need to correct you quickly here what you are looking at is a company like Concrete 5.I use concrete 5 because they have been around now for years and they offer what you are talking about FREE!I think this is a bit of a rip off what you are talking about 8$ and you cant even use your own domain! I know that Shines Host (shineshost. com) will install Concrete 5 for you free of charge if you signup to any of there packages. You get to us your own domain
Check out concrete5. org
there’s lots of FREE WSIWYG. What about viviti, showitfast, yola, and many more.
I honestly think modular site design will be the next big thing. Hand coded sites will probably never go away, but there is deifnately a place in the market for SS and the like. So far SS is the most user friendly. I am switching to it. I can still use flash, which is good. I built a small site in one day. It’s very cool.
Very nice vid and very informing! Thanks and 5*

I am a website dev and host on Eleven2. I think that they are very good! I have used the for about 1/2 a year and any problem i have run into they have (quickly) fixed!
For free hosing try 000webhost. Was with them (before switching to paid) and… Well… My account was hacked….. A lot……
Anyway!
Well , there is hostgator , google host yahoo and godaddy.
But the most recommended and best web host so far is http://www.NetworkJuiceHosting.com ; Network Juice.
They now offer plans starting around $ 0.99/mo for a great amount of diskspace plus everything else unlimited. Plus they’ve manage to keep up 99% Uptime.
They have all features such as PHP5, java ,Cpanel , Fantastico ( allows you to auto install Blogging systems and CMS portals without wasting time) , Cron Job , Apache ,Unlimited Dadabase , ftp accounts and much more. Basically EVERYTHING! is supported.
There are other affordable plans as well in NetworkJuiceHosting.com.
Hostgator.com is also a great host , but there Uptime time is not so good. Also , customer service is very poor , Not to many features are supported.
Google.com not so sure , But i know there’s lots of files they do not support , no Cpanel , and i don’t know how come , but they have been receiving downtimes lately in their host servers.
yahoo , let me just say it’s the worst web host ever ,you can’t even host the amount of domains you want to host . Including FatCow.com. The downtime is way to much , and many files are un-compatible in fatcow for some reason.
To buy a domain , the most recommended site is godaddy , but not for it’s hosting!! I Tell you !!!.
For a Great Affordable web host with maximum features , the most recommended web host is http://www.NetworkJuiceHosting.com . ; Network Juice Hosting.
You are getting your answers from an expert , and yes I have tried all these web host.
That’s all I got to say mate
not free but good http://www.visionhost.info
They’re not free but they’re pretty low priced with all the features and no ads at all. They’re called winninghosting.com and you can host multiple sites for less than $ 5 a month. So, I guess you could split it with your friends or something if that’s too much.
Don’t use free services to set up your website. Free services offer a sub-domain, not a real domain name. This means your site address will be something like http://yoursite.freewebs.com, not http://www.yoursite.com. This way your website doesn’t look professional. On the other hand, there are some limitations with free web hosting services. In a word, if you want to have a serious presence on the web, you must pay for it. I recommend get a reliable company to do that in return for a few dollars.
The cheapest way:
1- Buy a real domain name from http://www.goldpuma.com for $ 10.
2- Get your purchased hosted with one of free web hosts.
Don’t trust any cheap service, many of them don’t allow you to have full control on your domain name. If you’re going to buy domain names, refer to:
http://www.goldpuma.com/
GoldPuma is the lowest cost service which is full-featured and really works for you ($ 9.99 /year). They offer free extras with every domain name:
Quick Blogcast
Hosting with Web site builder
Personalized Email Account
Starter Web Page For Sale/ Parked Page
Domain Parking
Domain Forwarding
Domain Masking
100-Pack Email Forwarding
Total DNS Control
Change of Registration
Status Alerts
